Ch.65 – The Star Around The Sun

Yang Youming watched Xia Xingcheng for a long time and said, “No.”

Xia Xingcheng truly gave up. The courage he had summoned all night dissipated before Yang Youming’s last ‘no’. He shook off Yang Youming’s hand, then crossed him and headed out.

But Yang Youming grabbed his arm again and pulled him back, saying, “Aren’t you and Qin Xueyue very close? You obviously prefer girls, there’s no need to go through such a pointless attempt.”

Xia Xingcheng wanted to refute him, but he felt beaten down, and he tried to shake off his hand again. He merely said, “What do you care?”

Yang Youming was his idol, the man he loved and admired, and he had never used such a tone on Yang Youming.

“Xingcheng,” Yang Youming’s grip on his hand tightened even more, “Do you actually understand your feelings for me? It’s not real, it’s the illusion projected by Fang Jianyuan in your heart. Those feelings were never meant for us in the first place, they belong to Fang Jianyuan and Yu Haiyang. The only reason why you need to find comfort in me is because they couldn’t make it to the end!”

Xia Xingcheng’s eyes turned red as he yelled at Yang Youming, “No! Who are you to define my feelings? I know I’m not Fang Jianyuan, and you’re also not Yu Haiyang. My feelings aren’t a substitute for Fang Jianyuan’s feelings!” As he finished yelling, he felt even more weary. He didn’t want to stay here any longer, and his voice went cold as he said, “Whatever, if you think it’s only comfort and won’t give it to me, I’ll just look for somebody else to comfort me.”

With these words, he cruelly used his other hand to wrestle with Yang Youming’s grip, but he didn’t expect that in the next second, Yang Youming suddenly pulled him closer and kissed his lips.

Xia Xingcheng was stunned.

It wasn’t a gentle, comforting kiss, but a hot and intense one that showed all the possessive aggression of a man.

Yang Youming picked him up as he left his lips, pressed against his ear and said, “Come.” With that, he carried Xia Xingcheng to the inner room and threw him on the bed in a somewhat rough manner. After, he kneeled down by the side of the bed and reached out to unfasten his shirt buttons one by one as he fixed his gaze on Xia Xingcheng.

Under the shirt was Yang Youming’s sturdy body, with beautiful abs under his broad chest, and the slender V of his hips were clearly visible, extending all the way down below the belt of his suit trousers.

Xia Xingcheng had never seen such a Yang Youming before. He was inexplicably afraid, subconsciously using his elbows to prop himself up on the bed.

As a result, Yang Youming grabbed his ankles and helped him remove his shoes.

Xia Xingcheng’s chest rose and fell so intensely that his breathing seemed strained.

Yang Youming leaned forward and braced his hands on either side of Xia Xingcheng’s body. Looking down at him from above, in a deep voice, he said, “Take off your clothes.”

Xia Xingcheng didn’t move. He saw himself in Yang Youming’s eyes–he looked frightened, and the expression was difficult to conceal.

Yang Youming said, “What are you afraid of? Isn’t anything fine as long as you can sleep with me?” With that, he straightened up. His fingers nimbly unbuckled his belt, then slowly pulled the leather belt from the waist of his pants.

Xia Xingcheng couldn’t help but blush. He didn’t understand why Yang Youming removing his belt can seem so erotic. Taking a deep breath, he sat up from the bed and began to undress.

The curtains in the room weren’t drawn, and although he knew that there weren’t any tall buildings in the vicinity that could possibly have a clear view of this side of the room, Xia Xingcheng couldn’t help but look outside, feeling like he was being watched.

Yang Youming noticed his line of sight and said, “You dared to come here to find me, and you still care about being seen?”

Xia Xingcheng suddenly turned fierce. He looked up at Yang Youming with hatred, stripped off all his clothes, and stepped on the bed again with both feet. He took off his underwear along with his pants and threw them to the floor, sitting stark naked on the bed as he aimed a provocative gaze at Yang Youming.

Yang Youming looked at him silently for a long time, holding his hand and crouching down beside the bed. His eyes and tone softened, tilting his head up and saying to Xia Xingcheng, “Xingcheng, have you really thought this through? I’m the one who has to bear the responsibility in this relationship, and I don’t want to hurt you.”

Xia Xingcheng looked down at him and said, “I’m an adult.”

Yang Youming didn’t say anything else and only held Xia Xingcheng’s hand tightly. After a while, he hung his head and pressed that hand to his face.

All at once, Xia Xingcheng felt his heart go soft, everything inside turned to complete shambles.

Yang Youming pressed his face against Xia Xingcheng’s hand and stayed like that for a long time, unmoving, before he slowly stood up. With one leg still kneeling by the bed, he bent down and kissed Xia Xingcheng’s lips.

This kiss was tender and thorough.

As they kissed, Yang Youming pulled Xia Xingcheng’s hand, pressing it to the button on his waistband.

Xia Xingcheng understood his gesture. With fleeting breaths and slightly trembling fingers, he unfastened that button and pulled down the zipper little by little.

He was by no means an inexperienced person. On the contrary, he’s had many girlfriends. He knew how to fuck a girl in bed, but in front of Yang Youming, there was nothing he could do–he could only react by instinct.

He knew that the relationship between him and Yang Youming was not equal. He didn’t know how deep Yang Youming’s feelings were for him–but what he could be sure of was that he cared more about this relationship than Yang Youming did.

And because he cared, he was meticulously cautious and willing to compromise.

Yang Youming took off the last layer of restraint on his body and covered Xia Xingcheng whole.

  1. I don’t know how to feel about this…. I personally feel like both of their feelings are more of a projection of their characters’ than theirs themselves, especially MC. I mean, have they really interacted that much outside of their work setting aside from the giving of advice, that midnight snack, and swimming race? Maybe it’s just me, but I had hoped they’d get to know each other first more personally than this 😓. I’m not really a fan of MC’s actions this time

  2. Woooow that escalated fast. So much was packed into that last scene, the fear, anxiety, tenderness and desire. Kudos to YYM for asking again and making sure this was what XXC wanted. THEY. ARE. TOGETHER!!! (ノ。≧◇≦)ノ YAAAAS!!!

  3. I think love is about getting past all you barriers and do it unconstitutional, it has nothing to do with the other party. It’s beautiful and freeing, as you accept yourself and the other party fully.

    Thanks for the translations!

  4. Isn’t sad..? I know relationships aren’t always equal. I perfectly knew that, it will never be equal… but realizing it, accepting it and compromising are different things. XXC realized it and he was willing to compromise and give everything just to be with YYM.

I really hope everyone who is experiencing this won’t feel inferior. Just because you realized you care about it more than your partner doesn’t mean it is true. I don’t believe in give and take, I believe in giving all you’ve got up to the last drop.

    1. hiii, it must be nice to be love by people like you. It’s good that you have you have your own principle regarding this matter. While I’d just like to share, that I do have the opposing view— in which I believe that a relationship must achieve balance first in order for it to exist in the long run. The keyword is ‘together’. If you encounter problems, the only way to go through is to solve it together. Because if there’s only one string (person) working hard to keep it together, while the other had long gave up, no matter how you give it your all, it’s bound to fall apart. After all, everyone has their own bottom line. We are just humans. We get tired. So it’s important to reciprocate. A give and take. That’s why it is called “relationship” in the first place. To establish connection, there has to be mutual understanding between two people. A lot of relationships tend to go awry, it’s because they failed to establish that ‘connection’.

Why do people say, “I’ve lost myself, I want to find myself again” in a relationship? It’s because they gave it their all that nothing is left for them, so their hearts felt lost and empty. You can give your best, but don’t give it your all. Leave some room for yourself. So when your heart gets broken, you can pick it up, mend it, and love again.

From your comment, I can see that you are a selfless person. The type to devote themselves so wholly in a relationship. It is actually not easy to be that kind of person so if that’s what you want to believe in, I can only wish the best for you. ❤️ 😊
